How much does being in the program cost?

Nothing! It is FREE to join the program. When you accept Community Gift Cards redemption is handled by Mastercard and paid out by your payment processor the same as any other Mastercard you accept.

How do I accept Downtown Dollars Gift Cards?

It’s simple! Once you are registered with us you simply swipe the gift card just as you would any other credit card. The gift cards are issued by Mastercard and you will receive your funds through your POS system the same as any other card. Standard processing fees from your POS system will apply.

Can I accept Gift Cards if the customer is not physically present?

Yes! If your customer is not physically present, simply have them give you the 16-digit card number, expiration and CVC code on their card over the phone (or in a secure manner) and enter that code manually into your point-of-sale (POS) machine or virtual terminal.

Can I purchase Downtown Dollars too?

Yes, and we hope you do! You can purchase them for yourself, use them as bonuses for your employees, thank you gifts for your faithful customers, or however you choose to take advantage of the program.
